How can I check out videos or games from the Film & Video Collection or watch eVideos licensed by the University of Delaware Library?
Answer
You may check out DVD or Blu-ray discs, video games, or legacy formats (such as VHS) in several ways:
- For next day service, Monday through Friday: You may submit a request for an item by using the blue 'Sign in' button in the item's DELCAT record. After logging in with your UD netID and password, click on 'Request', and select Morris Library as your pickup location. You will receive an email the following business day letting you know that your items are ready for you to pick up from the Help Desk on the first floor of Morris Library.
Borrowing policies for physical Film & Video Collection items are as follows: https://library.udel.edu/filmandvideo/circulation-scheduling-policies/
The Film & Video Collection is in a closed-stacks area and not physically browseable, but staff have created guides for you to browse the Collection virtually.
The Library also licenses eVideo content for use by University of Delaware students and faculty. These titles can be accessed via the titles' DELCAT records by clicking the link that appears in the 'View Online' section of the item's record. Library-licensed eVideos can also be browsed via individual databases via the Media Research Guide.
